The Fern Dean Nursing Home

A friend of mine is in Fern Dean for rehabilitation. She speaks highly of it and finds the staff very accommodating and friendly. She spoke particularly about the physiotherapist who is helping her after a fall. Unfortunately, I don’t know his name, but she found him excellent. Her room is large and well kept. Having a fair degree of experiences of nursing homes in the Dublin area, I was impressed by the level of care on offer.

A home from Home is more than one can say. In being our first interaction with a Nursing Home which in itself can muster up feelings of negativity or gloominess. The Fern Dean will quickly put your mind at ease. To walk around the building and see smiling faces, Life, a complete buzz about the place, Fun and Happiness it’s very quick to negate your initial thoughts of Nursing Home Care. It’s very evident to see the respect for the individual and each resident is treated as an individual with their care, every need and requirement dealt with on an individual basis.

My wife has been in The Fern Dean with advanced Dementia since February 2023. My family and I have been enormously impressed by the love and care my wife has received from ALL the staff. The facilities are excellent and are so well maintained. I believe my wife’s experience is enhanced by the variety of activities that she attends daily. I am very impressed with how the staff managed my wife in the early days which resulted in her settling in very well, much to our surprise.
